إذا عاد أحدُ أحبابكَ من الموت فهل ستكون سعيدًا؟ لا تُجب عن هذا السؤال إلّا بعد الانتهاء من هذه الرواية فالصحفي "رامي إمام" أقسم للجميع بأنّه قد رأى جثة ملقاةً على الطريق وفي ظهرها طلقٌ ناري لكنَّ ضباط القسم نعتوه بالمجنون وطردوه قبل أن يُقابله الضابط "سراج " ويسمع القصّة منه ولكنَّ الأمر الذي لا يمكن لعقلٍ تصديقه هو أنّ الجثة التي رآها "رامي إمام" كانت جثته هو؟!! ذهب رجال إذا عاد أحدُ أحبابكَ من الموت فهل ستكون سعيدًا؟ لا تُجب عن هذا السؤال إلّا بعد الانتهاء من هذه الرواية فالصحفي "رامي إمام" أقسم للجميع بأنّه قد رأى جثة ملقاةً على الطريق وفي ظهرها طلقٌ ناري لكنَّ ضباط القسم نعتوه بالمجنون وطردوه قبل أن يُقابله الضابط "سراج " ويسمع القصّة منه ولكنَّ الأمر الذي لا يمكن لعقلٍ تصديقه هو أنّ الجثة التي رآها "رامي إمام" كانت جثته هو؟!! ذهب رجال الشرطة إلى مكان وجود الجثّة ليتفاجئوا بالشبه الكبير بينها وبين الصحفي لكن المفاجأة الأكبر عندما رفع رامي عن بطنه ليظهر أمامهم أثرٌ لجرحٍ غائر وهذا الأثر نفسه موجودٌ على جسد الضحية، ثمَّ تطابقت تحليلات الحمض النووي وبصمات الأصابع تمامًا لذا يقرِّر الضابط سراج أن يسير خلف القضية ليكتشف الخدعة التي تُحاك لكنَّه يكتشف مدينةً غريبة في صعيد مصر واسمها "جهينة"... ما سرُّ هذه المدينة؟ ولماذا سميَّت مدينة الغرائب؟ وما علاقة الصحفي رامي بها وهل ستتحقَّق النبوءة أم ستنقذه مدينة الغرائب
