نحن مقبلون على التعرف إلى سفر من أسفار الأدب العالي: هو مجموعة الحكم التي نظمها ابن عطاء الله السكندري، وكانت هذه المجموعة مما يدرسه كبار العلماء في الأزهر الشريف، وكان المرحوم الشيخ محمد بخيت يدرسها للجمهور بعد العصر من أيام رمضان في مسجد الحسين، وقد حضرت عليه طائفة من تلك الدروس، وأنست بمعاني الحكم العطائية أشد الأنس. واهتمام علماء الأزهر بدرس حكم ابن عطاء الله هو صورة جديدة للحفاوة بتلك اللآلئ النفيسة، فقد اهتم بها الناس من قبل، وظفرت بعدة شروح، أشهرها شرح الرندي وشرح الشرقاوي، ولا تزال على كثرة ما لقيت من الشرح والدرس تبعث في قلوب المريدين أنوارًا لم يتنورها الشارحون.
