هذه جملة من الأحاديث النبوية التي تحث على فعل المعروف واصطناعه، منها الصحيح ومنها الضعيف ومنها ما هو أقل، لكنها يشد بعضها بعضاً لأن المقصود واحد. ولا شك أن المجتمع الإسلامي بحاجة شديدة إلى ما يقوي صلاته ويربط بين أفراده، وباصطناع المعروف وإغاثة الملهوف وقضاء الحوائج وجبر الخواطر والشفاعة الحسنة تزيد المودة والمحبة اليت هي طريق الجنة وبابها القريب كما قال صلى الله عليه وسلم: لا تدخلون الجنة حتى تؤمنوا، ولا تؤمنوا حتى تحابوا، أولاً أدلكم على شيء إذا فعلتموه تحاببتم؟ أفشوا السلام بينكم". وقد جمع السيد محمد بن علوي المكي هذه الأحاديث الشريفة وعلق على ما يحتاج إلى التعليق بمهم القول، إرشاداً للمسلمين، وحثاً لهم على فعل الخير واعتنام الفرصة والحرص على أدائه بكل أنواعه وبجميع طرقه، وذلك لأن كثيراً من الناس يظن أن المعروف والإحسان إنما هو بالمال، وبهذا يقوتهم خير كبير.
