يتناول الكتاب رافداً مهماً في عالم ثقافة الطلاب وهو "المسرح المدرسي"، يشرح الكتاب بعض المصطلحات في دراما الأطفال والمسرح المدرسي كما يتطرق إلى مراحل سن الطفولة وعلاقتها بالمسرح، بالإضافة إلى الصيغة المسرحية ومفهوم التركيبية في إقامة العرض المسرحي من تمثيل، وصنع ديكور، وملابس، وموسيقى، وإدارة إلخ. وأيضا أهمية الأبداع للصحة النفسية للتلاميذ، مع توضيح ماهية المخرج في هذا المفهوم الشمولي، الذي يتطلب منه ألماماً بتقنيات العملية المسرحية. يناقش الكتاب استخدام المسرح كوسيلة تعليمية مباشرة في إطار المناهج المدرسية، من خلال الدراما المبتكرة، والنماذج المسرحية، والتمثيل الصامت مع توضيح سبل انتشار واقتصاديات مسرح الأطفال من خلال دراسة اقتصاديات المسرح في المدرسة، وأهمية الترابط بين المدرسة ومسرح الأطفال، وتوظيف بعض أنماط المسرح المتنقل، مع توصيات للنهوض بعالم المسرح المدرسي ومسرح الأطفال.
