ان شرعت في الكتابة في هذا الموضوع الموسوم: ((الشعر العباسي بين دوافع الإبداع وسلطة التلقي، حتى منتصف القرن الخامس الهجري)) ، واجهتني صعوبات كثيرة لعل اهمها: ان دراسة الإبداع والتلقي من اصعب الدراسات في العصر الحديث، فما بالك إذا كانت في عصر قديم، إذ يغيب دور الاختبارات التجريبية الحيَّة مع المبدعين أو المتلقين المباشرين – وهو ما يحصل في الدراسات الحديثة – عندما يتوجه الباحثون بأسئلتهم إلى المبدعين انفسهم لمعرفة اثر ذلك الإبداع في نفوسهم وهذا غير ممكن عندما تكون الدراسة في عصر قديم مضى زمانه مثل العصر العباسي مما حدا بي الاعتماد على الأخبار التاريخية والادبية الواردة عن المبدعين والمتلقين في ذلك العصر في محاولة تحليل النصوص الشعرية ودوافع قولها ومحاولة المتلقين فرض سلطاتهم على المبدع واثر تلك السلطات في إبداع الشاعر. كما ان فهم دوافع الإبداع يحتاج إلى التوغل في كوامن النفس البشرية لفهم عملياتها النفسية الداخلية والقدرة على التحليل والاستنتاج بناءً على تلك المقرونات العقلية غير المرئية.
