تعالج مشكلة الدراسة ظاهرة مهمة في اوساط المجتمع العراقي الا وهي: بيان الدور المهم الذي يؤديه الاتصال المواجهي في المشاركة الانتخابية بعده مصدرا للمعلومات يعمد إليه المرشح من أجل كسب أصوات الناخبين، فضلا على مدى فاعليته على التأثير في قرار الناخب العراقي، وذلك عن طريق طرح مجموعة من التساؤلات يمكن إجمال أهمها بالآتي: 1-ما انطباعات عينة الدراسة عن المرشحين في أثناء مقابلاتهم ولقاءاتهم، وما الموضوعات التي تم مناقشتها عن طريق الاتصال المواجهي في أثناء الحملات الانتخابية؟ ٢-ما مدى تأثر عينة الدراسة بشخصية المرشح، وتقييمهم بصدق وعود وعهود المرشح في اثناء مدة الحملات الانتخابية؟ 3-ما مصادر الاتصال الأكثر تأثيرا في الناخب، والتي تم الاعتماد في أثناء الحملات الانتخابية؟ ٤-ما المزايا التي يجب أن يتمتع بها المرشح في الانتخابات؟
