يتمثل هدفنا دراسة السلطان محمد وحيد الدين، دراسة موضوعية، ومناقشة الأراء المختلفة حوله، وعرض هذه الأراء على واقع الحقائق التاريخية، وعرض وجهة نظر السلطان محمد وحيد الدين في كل ما أُثير حوله من اختلاف وجهات النظر. ونحاول تبين العلاقة بينه، وبين مصطفى كمال أتاتورك الذي تعرف عليه وحيد الدين وهو ولي للعهد، وكان معجباً به، وببطولته العسكرية، فوثق به وقربه إليه. فمن خلال علاقتهما نحاول معرفة رؤية كلاهما للآخر، ومدى تأثر الأتراك المحدثين بالآراء التي أُثيرت حول السلطان محمد وحيد الدين. وحدود هذه الدراسة زمانية، من عام 1918 إلى 1922.
