اعتاد الناس أن يذهبوا إلي الأطباء لعلاج أبدانهم من الأمراض التي أصابتهم , وذلك لأنهم يشاهدون آثار تلك الأمراض , ومع ذلك يغفل الكثير منهم عن نوع آخر من الأمراض , التي هي أكثر ضرراً من أمراض الأبدان , وهي أمراض القلوب , وهل التأثير حقيقة إلا على الروح والقلب فما البدن إلا تابع لهما . ومن هذه الأمراض : الحَسَدُ , وهو من الأمراض الخطيرة , وهو سبب لضياع الدين والدنيا معاً , وقد تحدثت في هذه الرسالة الموجزة عن معنى الحسد , والرد على من ينكره , وأنواع الحسد , وتحدثت كذلك عن حسد العين ثم ذكرت أسباب الحسد , وكيفية الوقاية منه ثم ختمت الرسالة بالطرق الشرعية لعلاج حسد القلب .
