توزع الكتاب على سبعة أبحاث: البحث الأول هو دراسة فنية للتماثيل والألواح الحجرية التي تعود إلى العصر الحجري الحديث والتي تم اكشافها في مناطق كردستان وسوريا مع محاولة تفسير مغزاها ودلالاتها الدينية. البحث الثاني هو دراسة تاريخية وأثرية لموقع تل الفخيرية الأثري والذي يجسد تاريخ مدينة رأس العين. البحث الثالث يدرس البداية المحتملة لظهور الميتانيين وتأسيسهم لأمبراطورية أمتدت من مناطق زاغروس إلى البحر المتوسط. أما البحث الرابع والخامس في دراسات عن تاريخ وآثار الميديين وازيائهم وشكل الأسلحة والادوات التي يحملها الميديون في الفن. أما البحث السابع فهو دراسة مفصلة عن العناصر المعمارية والفنية لمقبرة قزقابان والبحث عن اصولها واهميتها الدينية.
