جمال بوطيب (ولد في 10 أبريل 1968 بوجدة - ) أكاديمي وكاتب مغربي عضو جمعيات وهيئات وطنية وعربية مختلفة، له مؤلفات عدة. حاصل على الدكتوراه في الأدب الحديث تخصص الرواية والنقد والمسرح. يشتغل أستاذا جامعيا بكلية الآداب بمدينة فاس. يتوزع إنتاجه بين الكتابة السردية والشعرية والنقدية.
ينشر كتاباته بالمنابر الوطنية والعربية: الصحف والـملاحق الثقافية: العلم –الاتحاد الاشتراكيإلخ والدوريات الوطنية والعربية كمجلة " شؤون أدبية " الإماراتية ومجلة " المنتدى " الإماراتية ومجلة " الوحدة" الجزائرية ومجلة " فضاءات مغربية " ومجلة " عمان " الأردنيةإلخ. بالإضافة إلى المشاركات في المهرجانات العربية كالمهرجان العربي السابع لأغنية الطفل بعمان (الأردن) والمهرجان العربي للمسرح (عمان - الأردن) وملتقى عتبات الدولي ومهرجان المسرح الجامعي.

فإن أعراف الكتابة والتأليف لا تعدو أن تكون اختيارا نصيا استراتيجيا لهذا الكاتب أو ذاك، وهو اختيار يمكن أن يتبع أو يتخلى عنه. وفي الأشكال الكتابية العربية المبتدعة خير دليل على ذلك. وحسب المؤلف فإن “هذا التداخل في الحضور، والتجدد في الظهور، والاطراد وعدمه في الثبات بالنسبة إلى العرف، وتكرر الملاحظة هو ما دفعني إلى تخصيص مؤلف لأعراف الكتابة والتأليف العربيين من خلال البحث في استراتيجيات النص العربي. وليس البحث في الاستراتيجية باعتبارها شكلا دفاعيا احترازيا توقعيا للمؤاخذات النقدية واستباقيا في رتق الفتوق شيئا آخر غير البحث في استراتيجيات المؤلف الخاصة أثناء بناء نصه”.
