هذا الكتاب الذي بذل فيه مؤلفه فضيلة الشيخ الدكتور : فضل يسلم علي صنبور اليماني جهدا مشكورا وعملا موفقا طاف فيه على عدد من القضايا والمعارف، فبين بوضوح دلائل حجية القرآن الكريم ووقف طويلا عند آية ىل عمران في المحكم والمتشابه والتي وسم بلفظها الكريم كتابه هذا الماتع النافع، وجرد أقوال المفسرين فيها وأطال النفس بما يبين صبره العلمي وتمكنه من البحث وحرصه على إجلاء الحقيقة للقارئين ومن تواضعه اللافت للنظر أن يذكر غير مرة أنه صنع هذا ليعلم هو أولا ثم يُعلم من بعده ما أفاض الله تعالى عليه من فهم وعلم. ثم قسم نقوله في الأقوال إلى نقول عن المقلين ثم عن المكثرين من المفسرين، وعبر العصور والدهور وقفز في التاريخ والجغرافيا فطاف على مفسرين قدامى ومعاصرين، ومشارقة ومغاربة وأثريين وأصحاب رأي فكان كتابه في هذا المقام روضة غناء وجنة فيحاء جمع فأوعى، ولم يكتف بالوقوف على أقوال المفسرين على تنوع أطيافهم وتعدد مدارسهم بل انعطف إلى السنة المطهرة انعطافة كريمة فعل منها ونهل، وتناول الحديث عن الفتن والزيغ وما ورد فيهما من أقوال المفسرين والمحدثين ثم كان مسك الختام بحديثه عن أولي الألباب وكأنه يقول هذا التطواف كله هدفه الأسمى وغرضى الأسنى أن يبصر أولي الألباب الذين ينتفعون بهذا الورد المورود والنقل المشهود. والشيخ الدكتور فضل له من اسمه نصيب فقد تنوعت معارفه وتعددت مصادر تعليمه فهو شرعي در س الشريعة وعلومها وانعطف إلى القانون كذلك وشبع من ثقافات متعددة بانت في نتاجه العلمي والتأليفي وزاد من فضله جمعه بين العلم التاصيلي والحركة الميدانية العملية
