الأسقف كينث كراج هو أحد أساقفة الكنيسة الأسقفية، وهو عالم في الدراسات الإسلامية والمسيحية، وله مؤلفات عديدة عن القرآن والمسيحية، ومنها: «أحداث القرآن»، «ومحمد والمسيحيون»، و«يسوع والمسلم»، وقد حصل الأسقف كراج على درجة الدكتوراه من جامعة أكسفورد، وقد عمل في المجالات الأكاديمية والكنسية المختلفة في كلٍّ من بيروت والقدس ونيجيريا والولايات المتحدة. كما عمل أسقفًا لأبرشية الكنيسة الأسقفية بمصر وشمال أفريقيا. وكانت الأفكار التي يدوّنها شعاعًا ظل يضيء الطريق حتى الآن، حيث تواصل الطائفة الأسقفية ما بدأته منذ نشأتها في مصر عام 1839م من حوار مستمر وفعّال بين الأديان. إنني أدعو الله أن يدرك كلّ من يقرأ هذا الكتاب مسيحيًّا كان أو مسلمًا أن هناك أرضية مشتركة بيننا، وهذا ليس غريبًا فالإنسان على مر الزمان وعلى اختلاف أجناسه وعقائده يبحث عن الله، ولا تهدأ روحه إلا عندما يهتدي إلى خالقه. إنني أحيى المطران/ كينث كراج.. الذي سبق زمانه وكتب في السبعينيات من القرن الماضي ما نحتاجه في القرن الواحد والعشرين. المطران / منير حنا أنيسمنذ سنوات قليلة قابلت المطران الدكتور كينث كراج، ورأيت كتابه القيم الذي بين أيدينا، ورأيت في فكرته وفي مادته مجهودًا طيبًا للتعريف والتقريب بين المؤمنين ومحبي الحكمة والفلسفة والخير للبشرية، من مختلف الانتماءات، فهو لبنة، أو خطوة صغيرة، يمكن أن تتوالى عليها لبنات وخطوات أكبر وأوسع، بكل حسن نية، لجعل العالم الذي نعيش فيه أكثر فهمًا وتفاهمًا، وأقل عرضة للصدامات والصراعات. وعندما اقترحت عليه أن تقوم مكتبة الشروق الدولية بنشر الكتاب فى طبعة ثانية، وافق على الفور، وقال: يمكنك ترتيب ذلك مع المطران منير أنيس. انشغل كلٌّ منا طوال الفترة السابقة، حتى عاودت الاتصال به بعد الفتنة الأخيرة، وعملنا سويًّا لإخراج الكتاب بصورته الحالية، والتي نأمل أن تكون باكورة لأعمال تالية. عادل المعلم
