رواية رومانسية، يصف المؤلف في هذه الرواية الحالة التي يتعرض لها المحب حينما يخفي حبه لمدّة من الوقت، كما يبرز الكاتب التحديات التي تواجه بطل الرواية للوصول إلى قلب محبوبته، جرّاء تعرّضه لعدّة عقبات، إضافة إلى الصراع الذي ينشب بين البطل وشخصٍ آخر للظفر بقلب الفتاة التي يريدانها.
تظهر الرواية حالات المكر والخداع التي من الممكن للفتاة بالذات الوقوع فيها.
