كتاب يتحدث عن تحليل وتصميم نظم المعلومات مستعرضاً مراحل دورة حياة النظام (التخطيط، التحليل ، التصميم الكتاب مقسم الى تسع فصول تتناول في مجملها تعريف مبسط بالنظام ثم تتدرج الى تعريف بنظام المعلومات ومكوناته ، ثم التعريف بعملية تحليل النظام وأهمية هذه العمليه بالنسبه لبناء انظمة معلومات خالية من الاخطاء وتوضيح مراحل دورة حياة النظام الاربعه التي تبدأ بالتخطيط ثم التحليل مرورا بالتصميم وإنتهاء بالتنفيذ ، ومن خلال هذا الكتاب استخدمت اسلوب التحليل الهيكلي الذي يدرس في الجامعات في مقرر ( تحليل وتصميم النظم 1 ) والذي عادة يعقبه في كثير من الجامعات مقرر اخر يسمى ( تحليل وتصميم النظم2 ) الذي يتناول اسلوب التحليل والتصميم كائني التوجه لانظمة المعلومات والذي سنفرد له كتابا أخر باذن الله تعالى اذا مد الله في الأجال .
