هذا الكتاب يســـــهـم التحـــــليل النفسى كمــنهــــج وأداة فى مـد يــد العـــون للأخصـــائى النفسى فى فهـــم كل مجالات الحيــــاة اليومــية للإنســــان موضع البحث الرئيسى الذى يجب أن نســـلم بتفرده ودراسته بما يتفق وطبيعته لا بأدوات ومناهج متعسفة تغفل عن أن : الأناEgo أو أنا الإنسان أنا فى المقام الأول مجهلة ومبهمة ومن ثم فإن الاقتصار على مناهج البحث الاستاتيكية والتى لا قبل لها بالكشف عن الحقيــقة الدينــامية للإنســان تقودنــا إلى ســراب تظـــنه المعــرفة ، وقبض الريــح تخــاله الحقيقة الموضوعية. ومن هنـــا كانت أهمـــية الاختبـــارات الإسقـــاطية والتى تــزود المعالج النفسى بالمادة التى تســـاعده على التشخيص والتوجــيه والعلاج وذلك لأن الاختبـــار الإسقاطى يمثل بالنسـبة للمفحوص موقف مثير يعطيه الفرصة كى يعكس عليه حاجاته الخــاصة وإدراكاته وتفســيراته الذاتية ، وإن المــواد المتعددة للأســاليب الإسقــــاطية C.A.T , T.A.T ] ، إختبـــار الرورشـــاخ ... إلخ [ تستــخدم كوسائل لإظهـــار استجـــابات تكــشف عن تركيب شخصــية الفرد ، ومشــاعره ، وقيــمه ، ودوافعه ، وخصــائصه التوافقــية ، وتعقــيداته . وبعبـــارة أخرى : إنه يسقـــط الجـــوانب الداخلية من شخصــيته من خلال تفسيراته وتكوينــاته ، وذلك يكشف لا إراديا عن سمـات كامنة تحت السطح الظاهرى من الشــخصـــية ، ولا يمــكن إظهــــــــارها باستــــخدام اختبــــــارات الشخصـــية الموضـــوعية
