العقلاني العربي الحديث مُــختلف تمامًا عن العقلاني الغربي من ناحية المنهج والموضوع والأسلوب والطريقة..
فعقلاني العرب قد ختم ذُروة علمه بختم الإنكار الغربي للحقائق الوجوديّة المـدعومة بالأديان، والتي تدور حول الإيمان بالحقائق الإلهيّة والقيم الأخلاقية والقضايا النبوية..
وكان منهجه في طريقته هذه كمنهج المولع دائمًا بتقليد الغالب؛ ليس لشيء إلا لأنه غالب وظاهر؛ يدعمه الإعلام وكثير من المؤسسات المؤيدة لأفكاره للتدليس على عامة الناس.
فلم يضع عقلاني العرب تفسيرًا كليًا يوضح مذهبهم الوجودي ونظرتهم الفلسفية لهذه الحياة؛ بحيثُ يكون هذا التفسير سبيلًا للعقل السليم في اتباعهم، وإنما اكتفوا بترديد السائد الغربي بكل مُـراداته دون تثبت وتعقل!
في حين أن صاحب الوجهة المادية الغربي لا يزال يُدافع عن فلسفته الخاصة (الإلحادية) كالفارس المغوار حتى وضع الكتب وأقام المؤسسات وأنشأ القنوات في سبيل فكرته والذب عنها..
يفعل هذا وهو على خطأ معرفي عظيم، وتناقض عقلي كبير، فماذا فعل العقلاني العربي غير أنه يردد كالببغاء ما قرره غيره بدون إسهام له ولو حتى بمحاولة التفسير لما فهمه!؛ أم أنه لم يفهم واقتصر ببريق الكلمات ؟!
أهذا فهم أرشد في الاتباع مقارنة بالدعوة الدينية التي تقول: " لا يكن أحدكم إمّعة، يقول : إن أحسن الناس أحسنت، وإن أساءوا أسأت. ولكن وطنوا نفوسكم إن أحسن الناس أحسنوا وإن أساءوا لا تسيئوا".
فلا يليق بالعقل أن يسير كالقطيع بدون تفكّر وتعقّل للأمور، حتى لا يتسبب في هلاكه ويجر معه الأبرياء من الناس بسبب غفلته وقصوره.
يُناقش هذا الكتاب المنظور الإلحادي في مسيرته الحياتية والفكريّة، وكيفية تعامله مع القضايا. .
