يتابع الباحث في هذا الكتاب رصدا أثر الخصوصية العربية في المجتمعية الإسلامية التي بدأها في كتابه الأول من خلال شواهد ونصوص من المعارف الإسلامية، في محاولة أولية لإبراز الأعروفات والحفائر والعناصر الضامرة في تكوين توجّهات النظر داخل الموروث الإسلامي عالج الاجتماع البشري لجهتي التأسيس السياسي والفهم التاريخي، ولجهة التحديد والإصلاح في النظر والاجتماع، لذلك جاءت نصوص وفقرات هذا الجزء شواهد مطابقة لتوجهات النظر، من التي ُحللت في الجزء الأول، مما يثبت وحدة الموقف والغرض. وهدفه من ذلك بيان تأثير الموروث القديم في الموروث الحديث الذي برز منذ القرن الثاني عشر الهجري، وبقاء الخصوصية العربية متميز أو سارياً. أما الخلاصات والتوليفة فقد انعقدت في نهاية هذا الجزء لتشمل ما خلص إليه الباحث في الجزئين.
يهدف الجزءان المتعلقان بأثر الخصوصية العربية فيما يهدفان إلى تبيان العناصر الكامنة والضامرة في كل من المعرفية والمجتمعية الإسلامية. وقد اختبر مصطلح الخصوصية دلالة مميّزة من مصطلحي العقل والذات. وذلك بغية الحذر من الوقوع في مفهوم العقل الكلي لعرقٍ ما أو الذات المجتمعية لعنصرٍ ما، وتمشّياً مع ما أثاره النقاد المعاصرون من تهافت هذين المفهومين.
وقد حاولت هذه الدراسة في جزئيها أخذ الشواهد من نصوص الموروث، كما هي وثائق وأدلة، ثم عمدت إلى تحليلها استناداً إلى بعد الدلالة المعتمد على مرجعية القرآن الكريم وبناء اللغة، بما يشكّلانه من سند يمثّل لحظة التأسيس، ومن ثمّ سيرورة العطاء الذهني في تجاوز الدلالة وتفسير القرآن الكريم. وتمّ الأخذ ببعض المناهج المعاصرة في علوم اللغة والإناسة والنفس عند الإقتضاء، بجعل هذه المناهج أضواء كاشفة وأدوات مساعدة في التحليل فقط.
والغرض من كل ذلك وعي الإنّية العربية بحفائرها الغائرة الفاعلة، طمعاً في رسم الأجيال المقبلة فكراً إبداعياً عربياً، من غير انقطاع عن حقيقة الماضي والبناء الإيماني والمعرفي المعرق الأصيل.
