إلى جانب هذا ردت على افتراض يقول: هل الساميون جنس أو عنصر بالمعنى الأنثولوجي للكلمة، أي أنهم ينحدرون من أصل واحد له مقوماته الجسمانية التي يعرفها علماء الأنثولوجيا (علم الأجناس) بمقارنة الملامح ومقاييس أجزاء الجسم ونسبتها إلى بعضها... كما وردت على افتراضات أخرى تقول بأن أصل الساميين هو إفريقي أو آسيوي. وخلال ردها ناقشت ما جاء في الافتراضات من شواهد وأدلة وما أثارته من ردود واعتراضات.
ينطلق المؤلف في هذا الكتاب من عدة مبادئ أساسية تمثل الدور الأساسي والفاعل لعلم التاريخ بكونه يمثل تحليلاً لسلوك وطبيعة مجتمع ما وسمات تشكل شخصيته وواقعه. ويطالب الباحثين العرب بأن يعملوا على إعادة كتابه جانب من تراثهم لأن جزءاً كبيراً منه قد وصفه الأجنبي وتناقله العرب دون تمحيص. إنه دراسة رصينة تعتمد على البحث العلمي في مناقشة أصل العرب ومواطنهم وأصولهم.
