إنها محاولة للتقارب بين الديانتين السماويتين الكبيرتين: المسيحية والإسلام، وذلك بعرض أهم نقاط الالتقاء والافتراق عند الطرفين، بأدلة عقلية ونقلية هامة، تعتمد أساساً على الأناجيل الأربعة والعهد القديم بالنسبة للمسيحية، والقرآن الكريم والسنة النبوية بالنسبة للإسلام. ولا يخفى أن هناك وجهات نظر متماثلة وأخرى متناقضة، وهذا الأمر يبدوا طبيعياً للغاية، فالأديان السماوية جميعاً صدرت عن إله واحد، وتعرضت بمرور الوقت إلى النسخ والتحرير واختلاف وجهات النظر، إنها محاولة جديرة بالاهتمام والدرس وإمعان النظر.
وبالعودة لمتن الدراسة نجدها قد جاءت موزعة على مقدمة وأربعة فصول: عرض الفصل الأول أسس التوحيد في الإسلام والمسيحية، وضمن الفصل الثاني أسس العدل في الديانتين، ونظر الفصل الثالث إلى أسس النبوة عندهما، وبين الفصل الرابع أسس المعاد.
