يضم الكتاب مجموعة من الصور لمحمود درويش في فتوته وشبابه، وحين كان في موسكو، وفي باريس وبيروت، ومع العديد من الكتّاب والشعراء العرب، وصور خاصة له تعبرعن حيويته متحدثاً وخطيباً وملقيا للشعر ومتأملاً وحالماً.
