هذان الكتابان الموجودان بين يدي القارئ هما عن سيرة الشيخ أحمد الأحسائي ، وهي بخطه وبقلمه، كتبها استجابة وتلبية لطلب ابنه الأكبر الشيخ محمد تقي، والكتاب الآخر: ترجمة الشيخ أحمد الأحسائي لمؤلفه ابنه الثالث، الشيخ عبد الله بن الشيخ أحمد الأحسائي. وهذا الكتاب ترجم إلى اللغة الفارسية، ولم يعثر كاملا باللغة العربية كما كتبه المصنف، فترجم هذا الكتاب مرة أخرى إلى لغته العربية، حتى يكون أعم وأكثر، لمن أراد الإطلاع على شخصية هي من أكبر الشخصيات في العالم الإسلامي، بعطائه المتدفق، وبعلمه الغزير المعطاء. وحتى يكمل النفع من الكتاب عنى المترجم بتذييل هذين الكتابين بملحق لبعض الرواى والمنامات، وبعض الأحداث التاريخية، وبعض الترانيم الشعرية التي لم يفطن القراء جمالها العلمي والأدبي، وتسهيلاً للبحث وضع المترجم عناوين لكلا الكتابين، والملحق كذلك ليسهل الرجوع إلى أي نقطة داخل كتابه هذا، الذي أطلق عليه اسماً جامعاً (شمس هجر).
