حاولنا في هذا المؤلف أن نعمق فهم بعض الآيات القرآنية وبعض الأحاديث الشريفة في ضوء ما كشفت عنه العلوم الإنسانية وعلم النفس على وجه الخصوص. وليست هذه المقاربة إلا محاولة للتعرف على الذات وسبر أسرارها، لأن من عرف ذاته تيسرت معرفته لربه ولغيره.
لا غرو أن القرآن أشار في أكثر من موطن إلى خاصيات النفس البشرية فنهى عن الرذائل وحث على مكارم الأخلاق. وقدم لنا نموذج الإنسان الكامل في شخص النبي الأكرم (صلى الله عليه وسلم) لأن تعلم الأخلاق والقيم لا يحصل إلا بالإقتداء أو بالمحاكاة والتوحد identification بعبارة علم النفس. وتطرق علم النفس إلى تفسير الظاهر النفسية في أبعادها الوجدانية والإدراكية perception والذهنية من تفكير وتذكر عالجنا منها الحاجات والإنفعالات وأخطاء التفكير وسمات الشخصية وسوائها. وربطنا هذه الوظائف النفسية بما سبق أن أشارت إليه الإلماحات القرآنية وبعض الأحاديث الشريفة. وتبين لنا أن السنن الربانية الواصفة والمنظمة للسلوك الإنساني هي نفسها التي كشفت عنها البحوث النفسية. وتلك سنن الله في خلقه: " سنة الله التي قد خلت من قبل ولن تجد لسنة الله تبديلا" (الفتح: 23).
وفي ربط السنن الإلهية الواصفة للسلوك الإنساني بما كشف عنه علم النفس محاولة منا لتحقيق التكامل بين المعارف الربانية والمعارف الإنسانية. فيحصل بذلك تجنب النشاز المعرفي ويتحقق بذلك توازن الإنسان النفسي.
