إن القدرة على الكينونة هي قدرة المرء على ربط علاقات تنبع من كيانه. أي من جوهره كإنسان. ومن خصائص الإنسان أنه كائن روحي بقدر ما هو كائن مادي، فمن المنطقي إذن أن لا يهمل جانب دون آخر. فباعتباره كائنا روحيا؟ فهو مطالب بعبادة خالقه وطاعته، وخشية عقابه، ورجاء رحمته، أو ما يعبر عنه اليوم بالقيم التي أوحى بها الله إلى نبيه (صلى الله عليه وسلم) وقد جسدها الرسول عليه السلام أحسن تجسيد حتى أصبحت أسوة للعباد.
تتلخص هذه القيم في ثالوث قيمي يشمل الحق والخير والجمال وعنها تتفرع القيم الأخرى. فالقيم الأساسية والفرعية هي التي تحدد من ناحية أسلوب حياة الإنسان الموجه نحو الإمتلاك وأسلوبه الموجه نحو القناعة والكفاف، وعلاقته بذاته وعلاقاته بالآخرين من ناحية أخرى. (أهل، إخوان، زملاء في ...).
إن العلاقات المبنية على حب الإمتلاك، كما يشاهد اليوم، تجعل الإنسان يتنكر للبعد الروحي فيه، فتطغى عليه الشهوات، والحرص، والحسد والأنانية مما يفضي به إلى قطع صلة الرحم وتدهور العلاقات الإنسانية على جميع مستوياتها.
أما العلاقات المبنية على القدرة على الكينونة أي تلك التي تنبع من جوهر الإنسان، وقيمه الإسلامية النبيلة فهي التي تضمن المودة في الأهل، والألفة مع الرفاق، وأداء الواجب في العمل إذا احتسبه المسلم إلى الله تعالى. مثل هذه القيم ضرورية لربط علاقات سليمة تضمن تماسك المجتمع ووحدته.
إننا بحاجة أكيدة اليوم إلى إحياء هذه القيم للتصدي للفردانية والفرقة وما ينجم عنهما من وهن. ولا يكون هذا الإحياء إلا بتربية تحبب هذه القيم للناس وتزينها في قلوبهم بتوخي طرق تربوية جذابة تجنبهم التكرار الباعث على الملل. وهذا ما سعى إليه هذا الكتاب.
