ويأتي هذا الكتاب في تسعة فصول، هي: الفصل الأول: ويتضمن مفهوم الكتابة بدورها في تحقيق الإتصال الإنساني، الفصل الثاني: ويتطرق إلى عمليات الكتابة التعبيرية الأساسية وهي: التخطيط، والتأليف، والمراجعة، الفصل الثالث: ويتناول مفهوم التعبير وأهميته على إعتبار أنه قناة الإتصال الإنسانية، الفصل الرابع: وينتقل هذا الفصل إلى تحليل مفهوم الإبداع من وجهة نظر المختصين فيه، وبيان مكوناته ومهاراته المتنوعة، الفصل الخامس: ويعرض مفهوم الكتابة الإبداعية، أهميتها ومهاراتها، الفصل السادس: ويوضح هذا الفصل مفهوم الإتجاه وطبيعته وأبرز خصائصه ووظائفه المتنوعة (النفعية، الدفاعية، المعرفية، التعبيرية)، الفصل السابع: ويعرض فيه المؤلف للدراسات ذات الصلة بتنمية الكتابة الإبداعية، الفصل الثامن: يُقدَّم فيه برنامجاً تعليمياً مقترحاً يعتمد عمليات الكتابة كأساس لتحسين الناتج الكتابي الإبداعي، الفصل التاسع: ويعرض لنتائج البرنامج التعليمي المقترح التي تمّ رصدها وتحليلها من خلال المقارنة بين المجموعة التجريبية والمجموعة الضابطة.
