Book Description
جاء هذا المعجم ثنائي اللغة (انكليزي -عربي) في 7809 كلمة شملت علم النفس بجميع فروعه وميادينه، كما تناولت كل المصطلحات التي يحتاجها قارئ علم النفس، وإن كانت من خارج حقل علم النفس.
ليس هذا المعجم كغيره من المعاجم المماثلة، إنه أقرب إلى أن يكون موسوعة في علم النفس بفروع مختلفة؛ فالمؤلف يقدم المصطلح الإنجليزي ومقابلة المصطلح العربي ويشرح المصطلح العربي بما يتراوح بين كلمة واحدة وعدة صفحات بحسب أهمية المصطلح وخطورته.
وفي المواقف الضرورية يعطي المؤلف مرادف المصطلح وعكس ما يمكن القارئ من ضبط المصطلح وتحديث معناه الدقيق. وغني عن البيان أن المؤلف اضطر لوضع مئات المصطلحات التي لم تكن موجودة من قبل، كما أنه استعمل المصطلحات الشائعة وانتقى أدقها وأقربها إلى الصحة مما يساعد على توحيد هذه المصطلحات.
وواضح أن المؤلف لم يتهرب من أي مصطلح ضروري في أي فرع من فروع علم النفس ولذلك جاء المعجم شاملاً كاملاً. والأمل معقود على أن يكون في هذا المعجم فائدة لقراء علم النفس وطلابه والمشتغلين به بالإضافة إلى المشتغلين بكافة العلوم التي يتعامل معها علم النفس الحديث في وقتنا الحاضر.
