وسوف نستعرض في كتابنا هذا حياة غيفارا، نضاله الثوري المجيد، والعوامل البيئية والطبقية التي كونت شخصية هذا الإنسان الأسطورة البطل، ونتطرق بشيء من التفصيل أحياناً والإقتضاب أخرى إلى شجاعته ومغامراته الثورية وإلى والديه ومرضه، ونعرج على المؤثرات الفكرية والثقافية من فلسفية إيديولوجية وغيرها. تلك التي قادته إلى أن تنهج حياته ومن ثم تنتهي إلى ما إنتهت إليه.
في حياة غيفارا وفي مماته مواقف لا بد من التمعن فيها والتبصر والإتعاظ ما شاء لنا ذلك، سواء في مطالع صباه أو في لحظات إستشهاده الأخيرة، في فلسفته الثورية وفكره السياسي والإقتصادي، في إنخراطه في حرب العصابات، في الثورة الكوبية، في علاقته بكاسترو، وفي أميركا اللاتينية التي تشابهت أحوالها وأوضاعها -ولا تزال إلى حد ما في زمن- غيفارا أو بعده.
وسوف نقف متأملين أثر ثورته في أجيال العالم وفي تأجيج نضال الشعوب المتمردة على الظلم وعلى الإستعمار والإحتلال وإغتصاب الأرض. وسنروي بعضاً من زيارته مصر ولقائه عبد الناصر ثم رحلته إلى الجزائر وخطابه فيها.
