عاشت بلدة «عين الجوزة» العامليّة تجربة حرب تموز في العام 2006، وهي نموذج عن كل القرى التي كانت مسرحاً للقتال في تلك الحرب. هذه القرى التي مثّلت بأطفالها، وشبابها، ورجالها، وشيوخها، ونسائها وبناتها، منارةً تهدي كلّ جماعة تسعى إلى التحرر من ربقة الظلم، والعدوان والتسلط، وكي تبقى هذه التجربة نبراساً ينير طريق الأجيال القادمة لأمتنا، ولكل أمة تسير على طريق مقاومة المستعمرين، والغزاة والمحتلين، ولشعوب العالم قاطبة.. وكي لاتضيع معالم هذه التجربة مع مرور الزمن ارتأيت أن أقدم نصاً أدبياً روائياً يؤرّخ لتجربة إنسانيّة عاشتها جماعة من الناس في ظل أوضاع حياتيّة قاسية.
