"يا بيئيي العرب اتحدوا، مؤلف فريد من مضمونه وموضوعه ومعالجته، من يقرأ، يجد أنه ليس كتاباً بالمفهوم التقليدي للكتاب الذي يتناول موضوعاً يمهد له ويحيط بجوانبه في فصول متتابعة تقصد إلى شرح الموضوع وبيان عناصره وتجلية غوامضه، ولكنه يجده-وفي ظاهرة- يحتوي على مجموعة من المقالات الافتتاحية التي كتبها "نجيب صعب" لمجلته العربية البيروتية "البيئة والتنمية" أما في باطنه فيجدانه يحتوي على مجموعة من النداءات والبيانات الموجهة إلى المعنيين بالبيئة وقضاياها من الأقطار العربية، وهي تدعوهم لأن يتقدموا الصفوف ليكونوا هدىً يسترشد بها شعوب أمتهم في الحفاظ على البيئة وحمايتها من الأخطار المحدقة بها والتي ستؤدي إلى تدميرها وبالرجوع إلى الطريقة التي عالج المؤلف مقالات كتابه نجد أنه اعتمد في شرح القضية البيئية على عناصر ثلاث: أولا:ً تحليل القضية وبيان مصادرها، وبيان الآثار السلبية والوجوه الإجابية، ثانياً: عرض وسائل التناول والعلاج وحسن الأداة.
