إن الفتنة التي تحياها الأمة العربية والإسلامية طال أمرها، واشتد خطرها، وكلما ازداد تجاهل أسبابها والتعامي عن دوافعها، تفاقمت حتى أصبحت كالدائرة يفضي بعضها إلى بعض، وتزداد قوتها ويشتد خطرها كلما تم الاقتراب من المركز. ولقد حذر (صلى الله عليه وسلم) من فتنة الدهيماء، والخوف اننا مقبلون عليها، فكل النذر تحذر منها، وجميع الظواهر تشير إلى اقترابها. وانطلاقاً من حب النصح، وصدق الكلمة، وإرادة الخير، ومن منطلق الخوف على واقع الأمة ومصيرها الذي تسير إليه تأتي ومضات المؤلف الفكرية، وكلماته حول دائرة الفتنة وسبيل الخروج منها، جعلها ضمن بابي هذا الكتاب الباب الأول: تكلم فيه عن مشكلات الأمة الإسلامية الثقافية والحضارية كما حلل فيه الواقع الذي تعيشه، وأما الباب الثاني: فقد ضمنه حلولاً رأى أنها قد تخرج من هذه الدوامة وتقود إلى طريق النجاة وسبل الخلاص.
