وفي نهاية القاموس هنالك جداول ومعلومات قيمة حول الاختصارات الشائعة والعلامات والرموز المختلفة وأسماء الشخصية والدينية والأسطورية والجغرافية. كما تجد أيضاً دليلاً واضحاً في أساليب ترقيم جملك الإنشائية بالنقط والفواصل والأحرف الاستهلاكية أو المائلة، هناك ثروة ضخمة من المعلومات في هذا القاموس-وترديك-أيها الطالب، أن تستمتع بمطالعتها وتقصيها واكتشاف آفاقها.
ستجد مثلاً أن لفظة "بيكيني" للباس السباحة المختصر ذي القطعتين، مشتق من اسم جزيرة صغيرة جداً في جنوبي المحيط الهادي وأن الفيل الأبيض ليس بالضرورة فيلاً، وإن المد الأحمر سببه عضيات فطرية حمراء أحادية الخلية, كذلك تجد رموز الفلزات كالصوديوم وغيره، والوزن الذري لليورانيوم وسواه9، ومقاييس الوزن والحجم غير ذلك كثير ولا يخلو القاموس من معلومات موسوعيى مهمة كتاريخ ولادة جورج واشنطن وسنة وفاته، أو ارتفاع جبل افرست وافرق بين الفيل الآسيوي والإفريقي. والقاموس معزز بأكثر من 900 صورة ورسم توضيحي من هيروغليفية الفراعنة إلى أجزاء الخلية المختلفة.
