ارتبطنا بعلاقة عضوية تختلف عن علاقات الصداقة والزمالة والمصالح المشتركة، بل إن علاقتهما نشأت من استقلال كليهما في موقعه ورؤيته وقوة فراره. وحين يقول "الأستاذ خالد المالك" شيئا عن "غازي القصيبي" فانه يجمل رحلة امتدت أربعين عاما منذ أن اتفق رئيس التحرير الشاب مع أستاذ الجامعة العائد قريبا بشهادة الدكتوراه على اعداد صفحة أسبوعية في "الجزيرة" بعنوان: "الحقيبة الدبلوماسية". وتلازما فجمعت بينهما القصيدة. كما لم تجمع شاعرا وناشرا من قبل. وتوجت صلتهما بوفاء نادر عبر إصدار مؤسسة الجزيرة الصحفية كتاب "الإستثناء" الذي قال عنه القصيبي: إنه أهم لديه من جائزة نوبل، ومن ثم اختصاصه الجزيرة بنصوصه والتي كان مها في عام وفاته نصان مهمان: (سيدتي السبعون والسيف الأجرب) وتميز الجزيرة. بعد رحيلة بتخصيص صفحات كاملة على مدى ممتد للحديث عن القصيبي الظاهرة. ولذا فحين يتحدث المالك عن القصيبي فإننا نقرأ عمرا من العمل الإبداعي والإعلامي، وتجربة نادرة في التواصل بين كبيرين قلما يتوافر مثله في عالم الصحافة والنشر والإدارة.
