تتشكل موضوعة الخطاب الشعري في أعمال الشاعرة "مي الصايغ" من التعالق العضوي والروحي الشديد بين الإنسان كقيمة عليا وبنية المكان كمرجعية تاريخية حضارية، ويتمثل هذا في تكوين المشهد الحلمي الدرامي المقترن بالحس والوجدان والأسئلة الشخصية والجمعية في جديدها الشعري "ليت هنداً لم تعد" حيث تتجسد الأبعاد الزمكانية والميثولوجية والجمالية لترسم مشهداً يتجانس فيه الشعر مع الزمان والمكان والإنسان. في القصيدة الموسومة بـ (كان لي) تقول الشاعرة:
في الزمان الذي كان لي / في الزمان الذي صُغته خاتماً / حيث لا شيء يعقل حلم السّما / على قيد نارٍ لها سطوة العمر / أشهد أني خلعت الحياة / نثرت دمي أنجماً / وأعرف أني / وريثة هذا الفضاء المعلق / بيني وبين السماء / التي / سكنت بيتنا / كم ربيع مضى / مترعاً بالعطور / وعاد مشوقاً إلى دارنا / كم حبيب مضى / مثقلاً بالوداع / وعاد قرنفلة بيننا (...)".
قدمت للمجموعة بمقدمة تليق بالشاعرة وبمنتجها الإبداعي الدكتورة سلمى الخضراء الجيوسي رأت في قصائدها وكلماتها الصافية "ذات المعنى الواضح والمبطن في آن، نجد جلال البقاء على العهد والإيمان واستحالة التواطؤ والقبول الرخيص بما لا يُقبل، بما لا يمكن أن يرضي به احترام الذات، كلامها، ذاك الهادىء الذي جمع الرصانة والجمال، هو بعيد عن البلاغة الجوفاء المتغلغلة في السماع، البلاغة التي ما زالت تهيمن على المساحات الشاسعة لهذه الأمة الكبيرة وتأسرها حد الإفتتان ..."
