وبعد أن سرحت النظر في آيات القرآن الكريمات وقع نظري على الأشجار التي ذكرت في القرآن الكريم، وتتبعتها فوجدتها ست عشرة شجرة، واكتفيت بدراسة ما أسماها القرآن الكريم بالأشجار دون غيرها من النباتات، مثل: الثوم والعدس... ومن أجل إظهار عظمة الله تعالى في خلقه ليزداد المؤمن إيماناً، ويهدي الكافر إلى صوابه.
وقد دارت الدراسة في كل مبحث على التعريف بالشجرة، ثم ذكر المواضع التي وردت فيها هذه الأشجار في القرآن الكريم، وأقوال المفسرين فيها، ثم الفوائد الطبية والإقتصادية لكل شجرة، ولا بد من التنويه إلى أن هذه الأشجار فيها ما يقوم على ساقٍ صُلبةٍ، ومنها ما يمتد على وجه الأرض، مثل شجرة اليقطين، ومنها ما يكون في الآخرة مثل شجرة الزقوم، والشجرة التي أكل منها سيدنا آدم عليه السلام، ومنها ما جاءت مثلاً ضربه الله سبحانه وتعالى، كالشجرة الطيبة التي ضربها الله تعالى مثلاً لكلمة لا إله إلا الله، والشجرة الخبيثة التي ضربها الله تعالى مثلاً لكفر الكافر.
