تجربة الكشف تكشِف سر كون الله تعالى مع الإنسان أينما كان، ومعنى كونه هو أقرب إلينا من حبل الوريد، ومعنى قوله سبحانه هو الأول والآخر والظاهر والباطن، ومعنى قوله كل شيء هالك إلا وجهه، ومعنى قول لبيد ألا كل شيء ما خلا الله باطل.
تجربة الكشف معراج، معراج من أرض الحواس والمحسوسات إلى سماء الروح والمعقولات، وهذا المعراج رحلة ذاتية يعيشها المُراد منتقلاً بين توحيد الفعل وتوحيد الصفة وتوحيد الذات حيث يصل إلى مقام قاب قوسين أو أدنى وعنده أعلن جبريل لو تقدمت أنملة لاحترقت.
إن كل رؤيا يراها العارف يؤولها على أساس أن الكون وحدة ظاهرها الأسماء الإلهية وباطنها الذات الإلهية، وليس العارف وحده من خُص برؤية الرؤى والمنامات، فالله تعالى يتجلى لعباده كافة، ولكن الناس يجهلون كيف يعبرون ما عَبَر الله تعالى به إليهم منهم ولقد كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم يسأل أصحابه عما إذا رأوا مناماً فإذا قص عليه أحدهم مناماً أوّله.
من هذا المنطلق، ولأن علم العلماء أمانة في أعناقهم عليهم أن يبثوه إلى الناس، فقد وُضِعَ هذا الكتاب في تعبير الأحلام وسُمَي الكتاب علم الكشف ليعرف الناس كيف ومن أين يستقي الصوفي علومه الذوقية ومكاشفاته الروحية.
إن المتصفح لما ورد في هذا الكتاب من موضوعات حول التعبير وكيفية إشتقاق الصفة من الإسم أو الفعل، وكيفية جمع الأسماء إلى بعضها بعضاً لإستخراج معنى ما، بوسع هذا الإنسان أن يصل إلى ما وصل إليه أبو بكر من درجة تمكن بها من تعبير المنام وإن كان قد أصاب بعضاً وأخطأ بعضاً.
