في هذا الكتاب موضوعات متنوعة، جمعت بعض فنون المعارف والعلوم الشرعية التي يحتاجها المسلم في حياته اليومية.. يمارسها عادة ويتخلق بها سلوكاً ويؤمن بها عقيدة يسلكها منهجاً يستقيم بها على جادة الحق ليرضي بها مولاه.
وبحكم إمامة المؤلف في المسجد لمدة تزيد على العقد والنصف كان من جملة ما عاناه أحياناً اختيار الموضوعات التي تناسب جماعة المسجد ويسهل عليهم فيهمها ويحتاجونها في حياتهم اليومية والمعايشة: لتصحيح ما درج عليه البعض من أخطاء في مسائل الاعتقاد، ولتطبيق صحيح لبعض الممارسات العبادية التي يخطي بها البعض، ولإقامة سلوك أمثل للتعامل بين العباد وفق نصوص الكتاب والسنة، ولإحياء سنن المصطفى صلى الله عليه وسلم التي تخفى على الكثير حتى اندثرت، وللإقتداء بسير رجال اصطفاهم الله على خلقه بإيمانهم وأخلاقهم. ولمجالس الذكر والعلم التي ما جلس فيها قوم إلا حفتهم الملائمة، وغشيتهم الرحمة، وتنزلت عليهم السكينة، وذكرهم الله فيمن عنده.
لهذا كان الجمع الذي بين يديك من الموضوعات اجتهاداً من مجرب، ليسهل ما يتم طرحه على جماعة المسجد أو في أي مكان من الأمكنة يلتقي أصحابها بشكل دوري، وقد جعلها عشرة دروس، تضمن كل درس منها سبعة موضوعات ليكون المجموع سبعون موضوعاً: عشرة موضوعات في العقيدة، عشرة موضوعات في الفقه، عشرة موضوعات في السلوك، عشرة موضوعات في قصص الأنبياء، عشرة موضوعات في سيرة النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، عشرة موضوعات في سير الرجال، عشرة موضوعات في سنن المصطفى.
ثم أتبعها بجزء آخر من الموضوعات الموسمية التي تتكرر ويحتاج المسلمون أن يذكروا بها كلما مرت الأيام والشهور والأعوام، وقد قسمها مجتهداً على أشهر السنة الهجرية مع أن بعضها ليس له ضابط بالتاريخ الهجري كاحتفالات "عيد الكرسميس" وبدعة "عيد الحب" ودخول البرد والحر فتلقى وقتها ومناسبتها.
