هذا الكتاب يدون أحاديث أهل بيت الرسالة الذين جعلهم الله تعالى خزاناً لعلمه وتراجمة لوحيه وأبواباً لتوحيده وقد دون علماء الإسلام المتقدمون الحافظون للأحاديث في كتبهم الموضوعة لهذا العلم ككتاب الكافي والتهذيب والإستبصار ومن هذه الكتب "بصائر الدرجات" لمؤلفه "أبو جعفر محمد بن الحسن بن فروخ الصفار" المتوفى سنة 290هـ وهو من أصحاب (الإمام العسكري) ووجدت نسخته بإيران سنة 1285، وكانت نادرة الوجود.
وقد اشتهر هذا العلامة الجليل بين علماء عصره بأحاديثه الواردة في مدائح الأئمة الطاهرين فقدم للقارئ المسلم هذا السفر العظيم، الذي اشتغل فيه على نسختين صغرى وكبرى اعتمد فيها على أمهات الكتب مثل بحار الأنوار للمجلسي، كذلك ماروي عن الكليني.
فجاء هذا الكتاب من الأصول المعتبرة والمعتمد عليه عند الأصحاب وفي هذا يقول مؤلف الكتاب: "إن من تأمل الكتاب من أوله إلى آخره يرى أنه ليس فيه من حديث إلا وقد نقل بلفظه أو بمضمونه في كتاب الإختصاص "للمفيد" والتفسير "للعياشي" أو كتاب "الصدوق" و"الكليني" فمجرد عدم النقل لا يدل على وهن الكتاب؛ والكتاب هذا عشرة أجزاء وكل جزء مقسم على أبواب مختلفة يأتي تفصيله عند كتابة الفهرست...".
يبقى أن نشير أن الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا بحسب المؤلف هو من "بصائر الدرجات الكبرى" أي النسخة الكبرى من كتاب بصائر الدرجات والله الموفق.
