بداية غريبة، لقصة حب غير عادية. بينما كانت المراسلة الصحفية "ليزا جامبو" تقود سيارتها في طريق العودة إلى لندت بعد قضاء إجازتها، كادت تصدم عروساً هاربة عروس "ليونالدو مارتينيز" صاحب مجموعة شركات ضخمة للإلكترونيات.
أخذت معها العروس الشابة الهاربة إلى لندن، ثم اكتشفت في رعب، أنها هي، وليست العروس، المطالبة بالتعامل مع العريس الغاضب.
اندفع العريس إلى مسكنها، واتهم "ليزا" بالاحتيال، بأنها على استعداد لعمل أي شيء للحصول على قصة لصحيفتها، ولكن "ليزا" استطاعت رؤية الألم الذي يعتمل في داخله من خلال الغضب، وهي تتساءل في أعماقها عما أعجبه في تلك العروس الهاربة، ثم دهشت للأسباب التي تدفعها لكل ذلك الاهتمام به...
