يعد الأديب الكاتب: الروائي والشاعر أحمد عبد الله مثنى من جيل السبعينات في الكتابة وربما يكون قد بدأ الكتابة قبل ذلك ولكن البداية الأكثر ألقاً وتتابعاً قد بدأت في ظهور مجلة الكلمة التي أصدرها الدكتور محمد عبد الجبار في الحديدة مطلع السبعينات وتحديداً عام 1971م.
وديوانه هذا يشتمل على اللون الشعري البيتي، ولون التفعلية، أو ما أصطلح على تسميته (بالتجربة الشعرية الحديثة) وكذلك اللون الشعري الشعبي وبإيجاز شديد فالديوان يتوسد يديك ويتأمل نفسه مثلما أنت تمعن النظر في محتوياته مستغرباً خروجه إلى الضوء بعد أن تناثرت بعض محتوياته على صفحات الجرايد والمجلات وبعد أن رقد في درج المكتب لسنوات طوال، لملم بعدها شتاته واستيقظ من سباته بفعل اهتمام ومتابعة بعض المتابعين للشاعر.
