في ذلك اليوم الرمادي الماطر والمثلج معاً، مع قصفات رعدية ترج العاصمة رجّاً وتدوي متدحرجة بين النجوم مشكلة برقاً تساقط صواعق نارية حارقة بين الحقول، ثم تحويل أوراق نوال السكري إلى فضيلة المفتي. تابع كاتب هذه القصة قضية نوال السكري من خلال وسائل الإعلام كما تابعها الآلاف غيره، شعرت انتباهه، وعندما قرأ وقائع مؤتمرها الصحفي شعر بأنها امرأة مظلومة، كانت ضحية الغدر والخيانة، فقرر وضع حكايتها في هذا الكتاب دون تدخل منه في الأحداث. هذا ما صوره الخيال لكاتب سطور "امرأة تكره الرجال" ولكن الحقيقة أن قصته بمجرياتها مجرد خيال.
