إذا كان تطهير النفس وتذكيتها من أدناس الذنوب، والسمو بها عن النقائص هو الطريق الذي يجعل الإنسان يحظى بالكرامة بين الناس في الدنيا، والفوز برضوان الله الأكبر في الآخرة فإن الحج هو العبادة الوحيدة التي فيها ما ليس في غيرها من عوامل تزكية النفس وتطهيرها، وإذا أمكن أن يكتشف الناس لغز البحر وأسراره، وما فيه من العجائب، فإنهم لن يستطيعوا وإن اجتهدوا، أن يكتشفوا لغز الحج وأسراره وما فيه من الكنوز الرحمانية خصوصاً إذا انتقلوا في رحلتهم لأداء مناسكه من القشور إلى اللباب ومن المظهر إلى المخبر,
يقول زرارة بن أعين: قلت لأبي عبد الله عليه السلام: "جعلني الله فداك أسألك في الحج منذ أربعين سنة فتفتيني فقال عليه السلام: يا زرارة بيت حج إليه قبل آدم بألفي عام تريد أن تفني مسائله في أربعين عاماً".
فالأمر لا يرتبط بالمسائل الفقهية المتعلقة بأداء مناسكه فحسب بل يذهب الإمام عليه السلام إلى ما هو أبعد من ذلك من تلك الكنوز والمعطيات والخزائن والفيوضات الربانية التي يفيضها الرحمن على ضيوفه في تلك البقاع الشريفة والمشاهد الكريمة والتي يراها الإنسان ويستشعر لذاتها عند أداء كل نسك من مناسك الحج بجوارحه وجوانحه، ولنا في أهل البيت عليهم السلام أسوة وقدرة، فهم لا يتركون الحج والعمرة، ولا لعام واحد اللهم إلا، بل يسعون إلى الحج مشياً على الأقدام محتملين أنواع العناء للوفود على محبوبهم، وهنا نتساءل ونقول: لماذا يتابع أهل البيت عليهم السلام بين الحج والعمرة، ولماذا يوصون الناس بالبيت الحرام ويجذرونهم من مغبة تركه، "لا تخلوه ما بقيتم فإنه إن ترك لم تناظروا".
بل ويشوقونهم إلى إتيانه "من ختم له بحجة دخل الجنة ومن ختم له بعمرة دخل الجنة" وهل وصل الإيصاء منهم عليهم السلام إلى حد الحث على إدمانه وعدم التفكير في تركه عاماً واحداً؟ وإذا كان كذلك فلماذا يوصون بإدمانه؟ إن هذه السطور التي بين يديك محاولة متواضعة للإجابة على هذه التساؤلات.
