شكّل الميتا سرد في الرّواية جزءاً من مكاشفةِ المتلقي بأسرارِ الكتابةِ التي كانت تلوذُ ببراقع التّخفي وتنكمش فيها، ويبدو أن هذا الذي حدث في الرّواية ليس بمنفصلٍ عما يحدثُ في العالمِ من مصارحةٍ للمتلقي؛ لعل أحدَ تجلياتِها ما يُدعَى بــ (تلفزيون الواقع) ضمن منظومةِ قراءةٍ جديدةٍ للحياة، تتناسبُ مع متغيراتِها على صعيد التقنيةِ الحديثةِ بأشكالِها المتعدّدة.
وبعيداً عن الإختلافِ أو الإتفاق حول إعتبار الميتا سرد نمطاً كتابياً او صيغةً، او تقنيةً، أو ظاهرةً في الرواية، أو مرحلةً جديدةً في النظرية، أو حساسيةً نافرةً في كتابتها، فإنَّ المؤكد أنه بات موجوداً على أرض واقع الروايةِ العربيةِ المعاصرةِ يشكلُ جزءاً رئيساً منها، ويثير الأسئلةَ، ويستفز الدراساتَ ويفتح آفاقَ البحثِ والقراءةِ عن مشروعيةِ وجوده، وجدواه، وجمالياتِه، وخصوصيتِه، مشكلاً إبانَ ذلك هويتَهُ الخاصَّة.
