هذا هو الكتاب الثالث, يواصل به المركز الفلسطيني للتوثيق والمعلومات ملف مشروعه الخاص بتوثيق يوميات ووقائع وتطورات الحالة الفلسطينية, عبر تدوين يوميات انتفاضة الاستقلال. ولم يعد الكتاب كما كان سابقاً, يعتبر ذكرى اندلاع الانتفاضة نقطة الانطلاق والختام للتوثيق لمدة عام, بعد أن أثبتت الوقائع أن الانتفاضة تحولت, ضمن خصوصية الصراع الفلسطيني- الإسرائيلي, إلى حرب التحرير الخاصة بالشعب الفلسطيني, وبكل مستوياتها. وبناءً عليه فإن هذا الكتاب تحول الى كتاب سنوي لرصد الحالة الفلسطينية, عبر مدخلها الأكثر إشراقاً, ممثلاً بالانتفاضة والمقاومة. والكتاب هو في الوقت نفسه, خطوة أخرى يخطوها المركز الفلسطيني للتوثيق والمعلومات كي يحتل موقعه في صف المراكز البحثية الفلسطينية والعربية التي تعطي اهتمامها الضروري لنضالات الشعب الفلسطيني وحركته السياسية, والمساهمة في تسليط الضوء عليها, إسهاماً في معركة الصمود بميادينها الواسعة.
