ألم النكبة هو ألم اللاجئين الفلسطينيين. الذين تشغل قضيتهم الدول العربية التي تستضيف الجزء الأكبر منهم. لم تفلح مشاريع الحلول المطروحة منذ توقيع اتفاق أوسلو. في حل هذه القضية بعيداً عن مضمون القرارت الدولية. وخاصة القرار 194. الأمر الذي ولد إحساساً لدى بعض البلدان العربية بإمكانية حل قضية اللاجئين على حسابها. ويعاني اللاجئون الفلسطينيون في لبنان مشكلة لجوئهم على مختلف الصعد السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية. بسبب الإجراءات الوقائية التي اتخذتها السلطة اللبنانية خلال الأعوام الماضية.. هذا ما يتضمنه القسم الأول من الكتاب. أما القسم الثاني. فيتعاطى الكاتب فيه قضية اللاجئين الفلسطينيين من الناحية القانونية للقرارات الدولية. خاصة المتعلقة منها بحق العودة. والى أي درجة يمكن لدولة ما الالتزام بقرارات ذات صفة إلزامية. وباتفاقات دولية ليست طرفاً فيها. ويحاول الكتاب في نهايته بالتحليل العلمي والموضوعي. الرد على جميع التساؤلات المتعلقة باللاجئين الفلسطينيين وحق العودة وتقرير المصير. وأن رفض إسرائيل السماح لهم بالعودة الى ديارهم التي هجّروا منها بالعنف والإرهاب. يشكل تحدياً سافراً ومخالفة صريحة لقرارات الأمم المتحدة. ومبادىء القانون الدولي.
