لم تكن العروبة يومًا قطعة قماش نلفّ بها الشعارات، ولا أغنية وطنية نُطرب بها الأجيال. كانت العروبة التزامًا، رابطًا، نبضًا يجمع شعوبًا جمعتها الأرض والتاريخ والمصير. لكن ما حدث ويحدث في فلسطين، وفي غزة على وجه الخصوص، كشف ما وراء الستار، وأسقط الأقنعة عن وجوهٍ ادّعت النصرة بينما تمارس الخذلان في الخفاء وخلف الكواليس.
ففي زمن الصمت العربي، حين صرخات الأطفال في غزة لا تجد أذنًا عربية، وحين يُقصف الأمل وتُدفن العائلات تحت الركام، تتساءل الشعوب: أين العروبة؟ وأي معنى تبقّى لها؟
هذا الكتاب لا يدين الشعوب، بل يُدين الأنظمة. لا يُسجل للتاريخ فحسب، بل يصرخ فيه. فالتخاذل العربي تجاه أهل فلسطين عامة وغزة خاصة ليس عارًا عابرًا، بل وصمة ممتدة، لا تُغسل بالبيانات ولا بالمؤتمرات.
"عروبة من وبر" لا يبحث عن تبرير، بل يواجه الحقيقة كما هي: أن الوهن العربي بلغ حد التواطؤ، وأن فلسطين وحدها تقاتل، والعرب من خلفها يراقبون بصمت.
