الصلاة هي الركن الثاني من أركان ديننا الحنيف، وهي أهم أركان الإسلام بعد الشهادتين، يقول رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: "بني الإسلام على خمس، شهادة أن لا إله إلا الله وأن محمداً رسول الله، وأقام الصلاة، وإيتاء الزكاة، وحج البيت، وصوم رمضان". وقد أمرنا الله سبحانه بالمحافظة على الصلاة وتأديتها على ما شرعه الله تعالى، فقال تعالى: "حفظوا على الصلوات والصلوات الوسطى وقوموا لله قنتين".
وبالصلاة تمحى الخطايا، وتكفر السيئات، كما قال صلى الله عليه وسلم: أرأيتهم لو أن نهراً بباب أحدكم يغتسل فيه كل يوم خمس مرات هل يبقى من دونه شيء؟" قالوا: لا يتعجب من دونه شيء، قال: "وكذلك مثل الصلوات الخمس يمحو الله بهن الخطايا! وقد جعل الله تعالى الصلاة طريق الفوز والفلاح والسعادة والنجاح في هذا الدنيا وفي الآخرة، ووعد من حافظ عليها بدخول الحناف والفوز بالروح والإيمان.
فمن أراد الفوز والسعادة والفلاح، ومن أراد أن ينال سلعة الله الغالية وينجو في يوم العرض على الله تعالى، فعليه أن يحافظ على صلاته، بأن يؤديها في وقتها بخشوعها، وأركانها وواجباتها، مخلصاً لله تعالى في ذلك كله، متبعاً في ذلك رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم. وبين يديك أيها القارئ مجموعة عطرة من دروس ومحاضرات، وفتاوى وإرشادات حول أهمية الصلاة وأحكامها، رأى المؤلف جمعها تذكيراً لنفسه، أولاً ولإخوانه وأخواته في الدين ثانياً بهذه الشعيرة العظيمة وحثاً لهم على تأديتها كما أمرنا ربنا سبحانه وتعالى. وقد أسميت هذا المجموع الحافل "حصن النجاة في ذكر الصلاة".
