ما تزال قرية شحور - الواقعة في جنوب لبناء في قضاء صور - تحظى بمنزل عريق من منازلها القديمة، الشاهدة على التاريخ ألا وهو منزل آية الله الإمام المجاهد السيد صالح شرف الدين، ولأهمية هذه الدار التاريخية ونسب الشريف وضع الشيخ محمد علي الحاج العاملي كتابه "دُرّة الأخبار في دارة وسلالة الأخيار" وجعله إضاءة على تاريخ دارة آية الله المجاهد السيد صالح شرف الدين مع شذرات من تاريخ أسرة آل شرف الدين والصدر، لكون آل الصدر فرع من آل شرف الدين، وكذلك انحدر منهم عائلات: صدر زاده، فضل عاملي، خادمي، مستجابي، أصولي... وآخرون.
وهكذا تمحور الكتاب حول التاريخ الإجتماعي والديني والسياسي لتلك العائلة الكريمة والقيمة التاريخية لتلك الدار، فجاء الكتاب في ثلاثة فصول: الأول حول دارة السيد صالح، الثاني: حول أسرة آل شرف الدين، الثالث: حول أعلام الأسرة ومنهم الإمام السيد عبد الحسين شرف الدين الشهيد محمد باقر الصدر، والمجاهد السيد إسماعيل الصدر والسيد الشهيد محمد الصدر، والإمام موسى الصدر، والعلاقة المؤرخ السيد عبد الله شرف الدين، والسيد حسين الصدر، والسيد جعفر شرف الدين، والسيد مقتدى الصدر، والشهيدة آمنة الصدر (بنت الهدى)، وأخيراً: رباب الصدر شرف الدين.
