ولقد جمع هذا العصر الأدباء والشعراء المشهورين ممن كان لهم صيت ذائع وشهرة عظيمة من قبل، وبين الشعراء المغمورين الذين لم يكن لهم ذكر في ميادين الأدب والشعر، والجميع ينظرون إلى تلك القمة الشماء التي تهوي إليها الأفئدة وتسبي العقول، وهذه القمة هي القرآن الكريم الذي هز البشرية وراع السامعين وأخذ بمجامع القلوب، ووجد فيه كل إنسان روحاً عذبة، فكان نمطاً باهراً فريداً معجزاً، مما هيأ لإنقلاب في تاريخ اللغة وآدابها، وكان إلى جانب القرآن الكريم أو بعده أحاديث رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم الذي قائلها أبلغ البشرية قاطبة، فكان للقرآن الكريم والحديث ما لهما من أثر في اللغة والأدب، يستقي الأدباء من فيضهما وينهلون من نبعهما المدرار، كأنهما الشهب الساطعة التي ينظر إليها كل من غدا أو راح.
