من موقع عمله كسفير سابق، يسجل فوزي صلّوخ خلاصة تجربته من خلال مقالات ذات طابع سياسي، اقتصادي واجتماعي، كانت مواضيعها قد شغلت الأذهان، وكانت في حينها موضع إثارة واهتمام في لبنان وذلك في فترة وجود الكاتب فيه وذلك عقب تقاعده من العمل الديبلوماسي الذي دام خمساً وثلاثين سنة، وقد حاول السفير في هذه المقالات تقديم رأيه في كل من القضايا التي كانت مثار بحث وجدل وتجاذب، مضيفاً عليها من معين تجربته ومما حفظته الذاكرة في مجاله الدبلوماسي، وفي قراءاته وإطلاعاته ومشاهداته الكثير.
يضم هذا الكتاب بين دفتيه عدداً من المقالات تناولات فيها المواضيع السياسية والاقتصادية والاجتماعية التي كانت موضع إثارة واهتمام في لبنان خلال السنتين الماضيتين، فترة وجودي المستمر فيه عقب تقاعدي من العمل الدبلوماسي الذي دام خمساً وثلاثين سنة.
حاولت أن أقدم رأياً متواضعاً في كل من القضايا التي كانت مثار بحث وجدل وتجاذب، أضفي عليها نكهة من أمثلة وتجارب من خزين الذاكرة والإطلاعات والقراءات والمشاهدات.
