يحتوي هذا الكتاب على محاولة جديدة خرجت عن المألوف في التأليف عن الأنبياء "عليهم السلام" حيث اعتاد القارئ على أن يقرأ في كتب قصص الأنبياء "عليهم السلام" المتداولة عن سرد تاريخي قصصي على شكل مضامين روائية وقصصية، من دون تعليق ومس خارجي للواقعة، وإن كان سرد الواقعة التاريخية القصصية يتأثر طبيعياً بمزاج المؤلف وخلفيته الفكرية والنفسية. ولذا اعتمد مؤلف الكتاب في سرد قصة النبي موسى عليه السلام على القرآن الكريم، مركزاً على الجانب التحليلي الموضوعي لهذه القصة أي: ليس مجرد سرد للواقعة فقط، بل محاولة مس هذه الواقعة.
