قال تعالى: "وألو استقاموا على الطريقة لأسقيناهم ماء غدقاً". وقوله تعالى: "ولو أنهم أقاموا التوراة والإنجيل وما أنزل إليهم من ربهم لأكلوا من فوقهم ومن تحت أرجلهم".
فالدروس المستوحاة من مجمل الآيات المذكورة آنفاً: أن ما يحيق بالإنسان من أزمات ونكبات هي دلالة على تغييب الوازع الديني الذي يعد ركيزة الاستقرار، وتجاوز القوانين الإلهية وتجاهل القيم الأخلاقية، والقفز على الحدود والضوابط الشرعية.. هي التي تسبب فقدان وحدة المجتمعات وتزلزل أركان الاطمئنان والاستقرار، وتهدر الطاقات البشرية، وتخل بالعدالة الاجتماعية.
ومن البديهي أن المجتمعات التي تكون تحت وطأة الظواهر السلبية، وتعرض عن أي حل يكون سبباً لخلاصها يكون مآلها السقوط والإنحدار.
وأخيرا فإن الأوراق التي نقلبها هي مفردات لأزمات وظواهر سلبية تعاني منها مجتمعاتنا منذ أمد بعيد، ولا يدعي المؤلف بأنه قدم الحلول والعلاج الناجع لها.. بل هي مجرد محاولة وانطلاقة لتقويم الظواهر السلبية وبسطها على موائد أهل الفكر وعلى المتصدين للشأن الاجتماعي.
